Position Description

A nonprofit behavioral health organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join its Young Adult Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting young adults living with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders in the community.

About the Opportunity:

Location: Bronx
Shift: Daytime
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Setting: Community and home visits

Responsibilities:

Administering medications, including oral and intramuscular, and conducting health assessments
Monitoring mental health status, medication adherence, and addressing side effects
Coordinating care with prescribers, nurse practitioners, LPNs, and community providers
Providing psychoeducation, counseling, and recovery-oriented support to clients
Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Participating in daily team meetings

Qualifications:

Current New York State RN license
Open to New Graduates

Desired Skills:

Experience in psychiatric nursing, substance use treatment, or community services a plus
Spanish fluency a plus
