Job Details

The RN Unit Supervisor will oversee clinical operations on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with regulatory standards. This position blends clinical expertise, staff mentorship, and operational oversight in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the nursing staff including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all nursing staff adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Coordinate and direct patient care, including patient assessments and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvement strategies as needed.
• Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and administration to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
• Promote a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement within the nursing team.
• Handle and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN license (active and in good standing)
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team management skills
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
